New Caretrack user forums planned following success of recent events

Following the success of the two Caretrack User Forums in winter 2014, plans are already underway for further events during 2015.

One forum took place in Southampton for Caretrack users located on the south coast, with a second forum in Oxford, attended by people from ICBs in London, central and the north of England.

Harry Bourton, Caretrack Operations Manager, who organised the forums, said: “I think everyone involved found the two days very valuable and productive.

“From our perspective, we always seek to understand what the experience of Caretrack is like for our service users and what future developments are needed.

“The forums also provide a great opportunity for a wide range of people working in clinical commissioning groups to meet, share experiences and have some open discussions about challenges and priorities for the future. Not surprisingly, the integration of health and social care was the big theme, both in terms of integrating information systems and the better integration of services.”

presBoth events were well attended by a range of service users including continuing healthcare administrators, continuing healthcare leads and people working in ICB finance.

CHS Healthcare executive chairman Stephen Fletcher, Executive Chairman and continuing healthcare specialist Art Calder and Michaela Houghton, Systems Development Leader, attended the forum together with organiser, Mr Bourton.

The days, taking place during October, included a presentation on developments currently being made to the Caretrack database and wide-ranging feedback from users including what enhancements they would like to see.

“The forums were so successful that planning is already underway for more sessions in 2015 and given demand, we will be organising more forums this year than ever before,” concludes Mr Bourton.

Caretrack users will be informed about future forum dates as soon as they are confirmed.
