Location: Nantwich CW5 or Sutton Coldfield B72 and home based
Salary: £35k – £45k DOE
Hours: 40hrs per week

About the role

We are looking for a talented individual to lead and develop business information reporting within CHS.   Developing new and existing Qlik Sense reports and dashboards to meet both internal and external customer needs.  Work with the Account Management teams to commercialise Business Information reporting.  

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities 

  • To deliver a reporting service that meets the current and future needs of the business
  • To work with Account Managers to drive revenue for business information reporting to ensure a return on investment
  • To support the business to embed reporting as a key operational accountability through coaching and educating of CHS staff
  • To ensure that all published reports are clear, robust, and well defined to support key business decisions
  • Ensure reporting service disciplines are established to include definitions, data ownership, schedules, monitoring, change management and appropriate data governance
  • To conduct reviews with business owners to ensure reporting remains current and in line with the needs of the business and our customers
  • To lead, manage and develop a small team of business information reporting analysts
  • To manage the relevant third parties that underpin the reporting service
  • To ensure that business KPI’s and SLA’s are measured and reported on
  • To effectively manage a pipeline of reporting request as well as ad-hoc reporting requirements
  • To be aware of current and future reporting trends and technologies
  • To produce and present business cases to support investment
  • To provide information to support contract negotiation processes

 

What sort of person are we looking for?

  • Able to build custom Qlik applications
  • Able to document and articulate business requirements
  • Able to work in a structured IT environment and follow compliance and change control processes whilst working to meet critical deadlines
  • Able to write stored procedures
  • Have a working knowledge in writing and troubleshooting SQL scripts
  • Have a working knowledge of NPrinting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with all levels of the organisation and external customers with Ability to persuade others (internal and external) of alternative viewpoint 
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to summarise data effectively and succinctly
  • Ability to identify and call out risks

Qualifications and Key Skills Required 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business intelligence, analytics, and data management
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working with Qlik, or similar BI tools (PowerBI, Tabelau), APIs, libraries, and development
  • Advanced level report/dashboard/visualisation development
  • Experienced in data warehouse / business intelligence / data modelling concepts
  • Qlik Certification
